Martin Griesbacher, MA. (Sociology), is an assistant at the research network Human Factor in Digital Transformation at the University of Graz. Since 2012 he has been involved in national and international research projects in the fields of Cybersecurity & Cybercrime, Digitization and Work and since 2015 co-organizer of the interdisciplinary conference series Denkwerkstätte Graz. In 2017 he was awarded the Ars Docendi, State Prize in the category Research-Related Teaching, together with Stephan Moebius.

Hristina Veljanova, MA (philosophy), has been a project assistant at the Department of Political Philosophy - Institute of Philosophy at the University of Graz since 2017. She worked until the end of 2018 on the Horizon 2020 project TRUESSEC.eu to develop a catalog of criteria for trusted ICT products and services. She is currently involved in two subsequent projects in the fields of cyber security in Styrian SMEs and (partly) autonomous driving and driver assistance systems. She does her PhD with a thesis on Design for Values in AI and Robotics.

 

Short Description of the Keynote Speech

The presentation introduces sociological and ethical factors in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in small and medium-sized enterprises. Discussed are the structure of sociotechnical cyber security networks and the development of a catalog of criteria as part of a trusted ICT environment.
