Short Description of the Keynote Speech

The driving market forces for technological innovation in manufacturing are the need for customized products (at the cost of series production), human centred and sustainable manufacturing and the interconnection of products and production systems. Humans continue to play an important role in the manufacturing landscape, but in order to stay productive and in view of the market trends, they need to be cognitively and physically supported by technology.

This presentation is about the supportive technology and the changes it will bring to the human worker.
